Nikol and Aaron’s wedding took place at the beautiful Forest House Lodge in Foresthill, CA. To say that their day was filled with joy and laughter would almost be an understatement. Surrounded by their families and closest friends, it was such a heartwarming occasion! They chose the venue because they loved the outdoor feel and they were excited to have all their family and friends together in one place!
After their engagement session and seeing how joyful and in love they were, I knew their wedding day would be amazing! Their wedding day had so many personal touches as well as traditional elements. They wanted their wedding atmosphere to be fun, memorable, exciting, meaningful and entertaining. I would say they were a success!!!
The ceremony took place in a clearing with incredible views of the Sierras. It was a complete family affair with their furbaby, Kona being walked down the aisle and Nikol’s brother officiated the ceremony. After, they exchanged vows that they wrote for each other – which brought practically everyone to tears. Following a Jewish wedding tradition, Aaron broke a glass bottle, symbolizing the finality of their union. Everyone cheered as butterflies were released after the first kiss!
Back at the lodge after photos, Nikol and Aaron shared their first dance as husband and wife on the stone patio to How Would You Feel by Ed Sherren. After a traditional Czech plate breaking ceremony, which symbolizes them working together as a team, everyone went inside for dinner. During the toasts, everyone told stories of the bride and groom including the fateful night when Nikol pointed Aaron out at a bar and the rest was history! You could tell how well they were loved by their family and friends by their cheers and kind words. The rest of the evening was dedicated to cake cutting, dancing, and having the time of their lives! Special dances included the Horah as well as Nikol and Aaron getting down to the song they first danced to on the night they met!
The hearts pictured above were hearts Aaron made and used during the proposal! How sweet is that!
Their advice to other couples is to be patient and truly listen to each other. “Understanding and love comes from genuinely caring about each other.” Aaron & Nikol, you two are truly incredible people and make such a wonderful couple! After spending your wedding day with you and those closest to you, it’s so obviouse how genuinely you both care about each other! I am so excited for you both as you build the legacy of your marriage! Wishing you all the best!!!
