I’ve probably said it more times than I can count, but one of my favorite parts of my job as a lifestyle photographer is capturing special moments for my clients and documenting their stories! Another thing that I love is photographing the growth of love in my clients lives.
When I took Kim and Micah’s family portraits back in November, the wanted to use the photos to announce to their family and friends that they were expecting a little girl! I was so excited when they asked me to shoot their maternity session and then once their daughter arrived, her newborn session.
It was a beautiful, sunny, Sunday afternoon when we meet up at a cute little park in Folsom, CA and aside from the wind, you would never have guessed that a big storm came through hours later.
Kaylie Jean was 29 days old when we took her newborn photos. Even though she was half awake, she was showing off her gorgeous blue eyes, her tiny little smile, and had already won the hearts of her parents, her grandma, and everyone who laid eyes on her. Except for maybe her big brother, who is still busy doing his own thing 🙂 Kaylie is already a very stylish little girl and had a plethora of darling headbands to choose from, all made for her with love at Kim’s baby shower.
One thing that always amazes me about babies is their innocence and how unbeknownst to them, they are so immensely loved. Kim and Micah, congrats on your little bundle of joy! She is beautiful and perfect. Thank you for allowing me to capture this precious time in your family’s legacy. Wishing you all the best as you navigate your journey as a family of four.
