Jamie & Corey – Griffith’s Quarry Engagement Session

Jamie and Corey first met in high school, but didn’t really get to know each other until years later.  It wasn’t until last year that they meet again at a bar and hit it off.  It might not have been love at first sight for these two, but all things that are meant to be will be!

Earlier this year, he took her on a tour of a local winery and before they had their wine tasting, he told her that he wanted to show her something.  On a grassy knoll looking over the vineyard, he proposed! After she said yes, her family who was watching from balcony above them, cheered! It was such a thoughtful proposal, and made the perfect foreshadowing for their wedding this fall at a winery in Fort Bragg.  One of the things that Corey shared with me about what he loves about Jamie is her love for her family and how important they are to her.  I was so impressed that he knew to include her family in his proposal because I’m sure it meant the world to her!

We met up at The Griffith’s Quarry in Penryn, CA, where they had both spend time in their younger years but never together.  It was so sweet to be there to witness them explore an old spot together for the first time.  It was one of those beautiful summer nights where the heat subsides as the sun goes down.  We talked about their wedding and their 4th of July plans.

I love how comfortable they are in each other’s presence and how easy they laugh together!  You can see the love between them in how they look at each other and they fit together so perfectly.

Jamie and Corey, it was such a pleasure photographing you both and I am so excited to capture your special day this fall!
