Jenna & Franklin said “I do” and tied the knot on their wedding day at the bride’s family’s private estate in Placerville, Ca. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they were married. Love and joy were among the guests and it was truly a beautiful day.
Jenna & Franklin met as family friends and hit it off right away. They dated for several years, long distance, as he lived in the Dominican Republic and she lived here in California. They went through quite the journey with him getting his visa and everything in order so he could move to the states, so to say that there was an added level of joy and excitement on their wedding day would be an understatement!
Since Franklin was away from his daughter and his parents had already passed, Jenna surprised him with little pendants of their photos to wear inside his suit so that it would remind him that even though they were far away, they were with him in his heart.
After months and months of preparations, with wedding planning and the work her parents put into their house, it was time to get married!! Jenna looked ravishing as she walked down the aisle in her off the shoulder lace wedding dress. Franklin looked oh so dapper in his black tux and bow tie and couldn’t keep his teary-eyes off of his bride.
After family formals, it was time for the reception and to share their first meal (and dance) as husband and wife. Their reception was so beautiful, filled with blush & burgundy florals with gold accents, making it so whimsical and romantic! Jenna surprised Franklin again during their first dance by playing their song, which was the first song he ever sent her in Spanish. I had never seen a groom so happy and overcome with emotion, and I don’t think there was a dry eye present.
Lastly, after their first dance and the toasts, Jenna and Franklin snuck away for the last few minutes of daylight for some sunset portraits of just the two of them. This is one of my favorite parts of the day because you can really see how much love the couple share and it gives them a few moments to soak in the day!
After the sun set behind the trees in the distance, the reception carried on into the night. The DJ kept the party going with great music for lots of fun dancing! There was lots of laughing and mini cupcakes were enjoyed by all! They were from one of my favorite local bakeries, Icing on the Cupcake, so I wasn’t surprised 😉
Above all, by the end of the day, my cheeks hurt because I was smiling so much since it was such a beautiful wedding.
Jenna & Franklin, I am so excited for you both as you start this next chapter in your lives as husband and wife! Above all, I’m wishing you a lifetime of happiness and blessing as you journey into the legacy of marriage!
