The Miracle of Life

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of life, so many things can go wrong.  How many times have you found yourself in a situation where things don’t go according to plan?  We all strive towards goals and our accomplishments, that we sometimes forget to let life and love to take its course.

I’ll admit that this week was a rough one for me.  The contributing factor being that all week I had been stumped for this evening blog post.  After the holidays and still not being caught back up, I realized that I haven’t had time to spend on the things that truly matter to me.  However, had I been so focused on my tasks and the things I needed to do, I would have missed out on so much!  Sometimes we forget why it is we do the things we do and our priorities get messed up.

Last weekend, my sister in law went into labor with her first born son.  She was in labor for over 24 hours and we spent a lot of time at the hospital waiting for the newest member of our family. What seemed like a long to to me, surely was nothing compared to Sam and Eden.  Not only had they been waiting the time in the hospital, but they had also been waiting 9 months to meet their child.  And in an instant, their lives changed forever.

That’s the beauty of life and love, every once in awhile, something wonderful comes along and nothing else matters. This is something that I am still learning, but having that balance is very important.  Life is so short and we need to make each and every moment count.  It can be hard sometimes, but I promise you, its worth it!  Just breathe, xo.
