There are those rare moments that cause you to really think about life. About how short it is. Or how precious. Or even how wonderful. Sometimes it can be taking in a majestic view of a mountain range or the crystal blue waters of the sea. Staring into the night sky at a blanket of twinkling stars. Standing on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building and looking down at the smaller-than-ant-sized people below. Those moments make me feel like the world is so much bigger, like there is so much to see and do and not very much time to do it in. The possibilities seem endless and you can’t help but wonder at the outcomes. However, there are other moments when life makes you feel as if anything is possible! That every life is a miracle and the simple fact that we can accomplish whatever we set out minds to makes the world not seem that big.
Recently, I had the privilege of photographing the sweetest baby girl, Kharis Joy, who in my opinion already lives up to her name! She is probably the smallest baby I have seen in quite awhile, but watching her sleep was so precious! I felt like I could watch her sleep for hours because of how peaceful she seemed (not in a creepy way ;)). Whenever I see such a cute little baby, I can’t help but relish in how miraculous life is. Here is this tiny little person with her whole life ahead of her but right each moment seems to last forever.
Aaron and Melissa, congratulations on your little bundle of joy! It has been so inspiring to watch the two of you embark on parenthood. Thank you for allowing me to capture these precious moments, the beginning of your family of three!
