When I asked him how he knew she was the one, he said “There wasn’t just one thing.” Steve had been living in Utah about 8 years ago and had moved to California. Everything was a struggle and his life seemed so hard. Then he met Larissa and everything started getting better. “Life was better because she was there to help me and be there with me.”
Larissa and Steve had been together for about 2 years when he asked her to marry him. He knew he didn’t have a lot to work with for an elaborate proposal, but he knew he had to make things official. Every morning they would have coffee together, and one day he gave her a new mug. When she finished her coffee, she saw 2 words on the bottom of the mug that forever changed her life. “Marry me?” Larissa was so shocked that she doesn’t even remember what happened next except that she was so happy and knew that she wanted to be his wife.
We met on a beautiful fall afternoon at Apple Hill for their engagement session. The weather was perfect and the autumn colors made for a perfect background. Larissa and Steve held hands, gazed in each others eyes, and laughed as only best friends and lovers do. They are such a sweet and fun couple. We talked about the proposal, their wedding plans, and even though they said they were a little shy at first in front of the camera, I know we made some beautiful images.
Larissa and Steve, thank you for having me document this wonderful time in your lives as you journey on towards marriage. I am so excited for your wedding at the Flower Farm Inn in a few months.
