It was a sunny June morning. Lots of laughter, yummy food, and InstaStories to be had. All the women who are near and dear to Paige gathered around her to celebrate her and her baby on the way. Inspired by Pinterest, Paige’s sister in law planned a baby shower fit for a whimsical woodland princess. Complete with flower crowns, rose gold balloons, towers of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, every flavor of La Croix, and bacon on a stick; it was truly magical!
Even more touching than all the details, food, and gifts were the gifts of prayers, encouragements, and words from the Lord for the baby. Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” Luckily for baby Horn, his auntie was thoughtful enough to have each guest record their prayers and words for him to listen to when he gets older so that they will never forget what these women said. And she has these photos to always remember what they did for her. One of the things that I admire about Paige is that she is always so uplifting, kind, and gracious. From the amount of love and care evident at her shower, I would imagine those women have felt that from her as well. I highly doubt she will ever forget how she felt at her shower.
Congratulations on your little bundle of joy, Paige! Thank you for having me capture this special time for you and your family! Your son is already so loved. I am looking forward to meeting him and watching you bloom into motherhood!
