It might have been almost 100 degrees on their wedding day, but Miriana and Horatio’s love shined brighter than the sun! They decided to get married at the Timber Creek Ballroom in Roseville, CA with the ceremony in the Rose Garden Arbor and the reception inside the ballroom. The grounds were full of their family and friends who cheered them on as they promised their lives to each other.
Miriana, ever the classic beauty, walked down the aisle looking like a character in a black and white movie in a beautiful wedding gown with delicate lace to marry her best friend as Horatio, in a classic black tux and bow tie, smiled and swore he had sweat in his eye and wasn’t crying 😉 The ceremony was incredibly moving and included live music as only fitting for these musician love-birds. They are both worship leaders at their church and their love for the Lord is so evident in how they love each other and the people around them. As they promised their lives to each other in front of their family, friends, and God, they welcomed Him to be the center of their marriage by having a time of worship and communion as part of their ceremony. It was such an honor to worship with them and I’m sure their guests felt the same. The wrote their own vows that were equally moving and shared what they loved about each other as well as their promises for their future. It’s ceremonies like this that truly inspire me to be a better wife and person. It is my sincere wish for every person to love and to be loved with such humility, honesty, and grace.
The reception was held in the beautiful ballroom that was decorated with dusty pink and ivory florals and lots of greenery. In honor of their Romanian heritage and culture, they spent their reception and first meal as husband and wife with their family and friends. Instead of dancing, they had live music performed by various guests. You can definitely tell that music runs in the family when instead of hiring a band, the guests are the band! They also played the newly wed shoe game and it was so fun to see how well they knew each other and how well their guests knew them as well. They had Romanian desserts made by their family members. For the guest book, they had Instax cameras for their guests to take photos of themselves and write a little note. I thought that was such a sweet and personal touch, especially since they take Instax photos together on their adventures. Everyone was happy and laughing as they celebrated the night away!
After dinner, we were able to sneak away from the reception for some sunset bridal portraits in the courtyard and on the golf course. The bridal portraits are one of my favorite parts of shooting a wedding, not only because the couple is able to get some photos of just the two of them, but also because it allows them to spend a little time together away from all the excitement of the day. Staring into each others eyes and reflecting on their wedding day. They talked about their favorite parts of the day and shared how excited they were to head off to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon and not have to think about anything except spending time together!
Miriana and Horatio, thank you for having me capture your best day ever and for trusting me to document this major part of your love story! You both are incredibly kind, generous, and overall amazing! You are such a wonderful couple and blessed are those who know you! I know that God brought you two together for a reason and I am looking forward to what’s in store for you both as you journey into your future as husband and wife!
