Harmony & Kory – Flower Farm Wedding, Loomis CA

It was a beautiful summer day for a wedding at the Flower Farm Inn in Loomis, California, where Harmony & Kory said I do in front of their family and friends!  The main reason they chose The Flower Farm for their wedding was that it felt like them. “A little country and a little elegant,” Harmony said.   “I love all the greenery and open space. Also, having the cottages on site is a nice touch for our guest to stay and hang out with us longer. We are very family oriented and wanted a space that was large enough to accommodate all our family and friends.”

The cottages also made it very convenient for everyone to get ready for the wedding on site and still be close to everything.  And even though it was at the beginning of June, it was still very green and lush!  Everyone was filled with joy and happiness as the anticipation of the day grew and grew!

Harmony and Kory decided to do a first look before the ceremony.  This way, they could spend more time with their family during cocktail hour and the reception.  Having a first look  allows my couples to see each other and calm their nerves before the ceremony!  It also allows for some very sweet and intimate photos!

After the first look, Harmony & Kory split up with the bridesmaids and groomsmen for their own photos.  Harmony decided to let her bridesmaid wear mix and match dresses which allows for each girl to wear something that they feel most comfortable in!  All of the stunning bouquets by Esmaé Event Stylist added the touch of elegance that Harmony was hoping for in their ceremony.

The ceremony took place under the big oak tree at the Flower Farm.  Harmony walked down the aisle in a beautiful, vintage feel, lace dress with intricate detailing to an instrumental version of the song A Thousand Years.  I loved that they included so many people into making their ceremony so personal and special.  Harmony’s nieces/Jr Bridesmaids and Kory’s nephews read passages of the Bible about the meaning of love.  One of the bridesmaids sang a duet of the song Lost Stars.  Their families watched as they exchanged vows, rings, and became husband and wife!

After the ceremony, their guests enjoyed cocktail hour while we took the last of their family photos as well as the bridal party photos!  Everyone was so happy and the excitement of Harmony & Kory becoming husband and wife didn’t wear off for the entire evening!

After dinner, we snuck away to the vineyard for sunset bridal portraits of just the two of them!  I always love getting my couples a few moments to themselves after the ceremony so that they can soak in all the emotions and events of the day!  Plus the light is so soft and romantic during golden hour!  These photos are some of my favorite of the day becuase you can really tell how much they love each other and how happy they are to spend the rest of their lives together!

Their family and friends celebrated their marriage for the rest of the night with dancing, toasts, and lots of hugs!  I loved hearing stories about the beginning of their relationship.  All the kind words that those closest to them shared were so heartwarming.  I knew they were an incredible couple, but hearing first hand how they have impacted the lives of their family and friends was so inspiring!

Harmony & Kory shared their first meal as husband and wife with a room full of family and friends who vowed to champion them in their marriage!  Kory’s mom made the desserts including the cutest succulent cupcakes I’ve ever seen!  They then proceeded to dance the night away after their first dance to Jay Nash’s Never Takes Too Long.

Harmony & Kory’s wedding day was filled with happiness, laughter, joy, and love!  It was so nice seeing so many people come together to make their wedding so beautiful!  When I asked Harmony if she had any advice for future couples who were planning their wedding, she said. “What makes it work for Kory and I is aligning on our big picture goals and not losing sight of that. We pick our battles with each other and genuinely appreciate and love what each of us brings to the relationship. We have differing strengths that compliment each other well. We make a great team.”

Harmony and Kory, I know that if you continue to pursue each other with that same advice,  you will have a long and wonderful marriage!  Thank you for allowing me to capture your best day ever!  Wishing you both every blessing and happiness!
