Montana Getaway – Sage Lodge | Montana Wedding Photographer

Sage Lodge, Pray MT

Sage Lodge is a luxury resort & wedding venue in the heart of Paradise Valley! The perfect escape & way to experience Montana!

Eli and I recently went to visit Sage Lodge in Pray, MT for a little getaway and it was so lovely!  Sage Lodge is located in the heart of Paradise Valley, next to the Yellowstone River in the valley below Emigrant Peak.  I had been following their Instagram page for over a year because not only are they a beautiful resort, but a gorgeous wedding venue!  It was so nice to just be a guest and enjoy the peace and escape they offer!  We got to spend 4 beautiful days at the lodge and it was such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  We slowed down, enjoyed each other’s company, ate yummy food, played games, explored, and of course, took lots of photos!

Here are some of the photos of the resort!  If they don’t make you fall in love and want to visit this place for yourself, I don’t know what will!  And if you are wondering about getting married there, head to the end of my post for my answers to the 3 most asked questions!!

1) Why should I get married at Sage Lodge?!

If you are looking for a wedding venue with epic mountain views, look no further than Sage Lodge!  Nestled in the valley below Emigrant Peak, Sage Lodge is a small but stunning hotel with so much to do year round, incredible staff, delicious food and drinks, and many options for the wedding of your dreams!  Whether you want to reserve the entire lodge for you and your guests and have your ceremony in the lobby with this incredible view, or rent out one of their Ranch Houses for your intimate elopement, they really do have something for everyone!  They even have a private room in their restaurant, The Grill, perfect for your rehearsal dinner.  If you are looking for a Montana wedding experience to share, not only with your fiance, but with your family and friends as well, Sage Lodge truly is a diamond in the rough!

2) When is the best time of year to get married at Sage Lodge?

While many people say that Summers in Montana are the best, there really isn’t a bad time to get married at Sage Lodge!  We visited in the winter, it was still so nice!  It even snowed while we were there!!! Everything looked so beautiful and magical under a blanket of snow and they told us that more and more couples were booking for winter weddings.  During the Spring and Summer seasons, they book about 30-40 weddings for an average of 50 or so a year.

3) Who should get married here?

Anyone who loves nature, the great outdoors, breathtaking views, and wants a Montana experience for their wedding day!  Many of the couples who get married here are from out of state. They visited with their fiance and decided they wanted to bring their family and friends out to experience the splendor of Paradise Valley!  With elevated accommodations, a luxurious spa with private hot tub, not one but two restaurants on property, sunrise yoga, or expert guides to help you achieve your Montana dream whether it be, fly fishing, horseback riding, fly tying lessons, snowshoeing, llama treks, stargazing, and even dog sledding in the winter, you will feel like royalty staying at Sage Lodge!  We even extended our trip by a day because we didn’t want to leave!

These are just some of the many reasons to have your wedding at Sage Lodge!  Whether you are visiting for a destination wedding or just want a place to disconnect and recharge…  Sage Lodge is the perfect place to slow down and relax!  Stay tuned for more travel posts and wedding photography tips and click here to sign up for my email list to get your hands on my free engagement session guide!
